NEW Group Mat Classes
I am so excited to be able to offer group Pilates mat classes again! Covid brought an end to the in person group classes and while I taught over Zoom through the first couple of years of the pandemic, there is nothing like being in a space in real life with a group of people. I was lucky enough to find a big, beautiful, light filled studio at the Steveston HUB on Moncton Street where I rent space on Saturday mornings to host this 11:00AM class.
This 60 minute Pilates mat class is for those with some experience in Classical Pilates. That means it's best if you know your Foundational exercises (the Hundred, Rollup, Leg Circles, Rolling like a Ball, Single Leg Stretch, Double Leg Stretch and Spine Stretch Forward) but even if you don’t, you’re more than welcome to drop in to a class to see how you like it. I offer modifications to the exercises where I can and there are a variety of levels of experience in the class. All are welcome!
This is a BYO-Equipment class. You will need to bring your own mat (or mats) 1-2 yoga mats or a cushier pilates mat (the softer the better for the rolling exercises). Optional props that may help your practice are: a yoga block and a small hand towel.
